Most people don’t like to talk about their mental health, but when it comes to young boys and men, it’s an ongoing crisis. The coronavirus pandemic has heightened depression and anxiety among men. It is National Suicide Prevention Month, and studies show an increase in Black boys committing suicide. Stigma and judgment prevent Black and African-American people from seeking treatment for their mental illness. Joining Danita to tear down the judgment and kill the stigma and discuss male depression are Marie Lassiter Black, who lost her oldest son, Tyree Black, in 2014 to suicide, and Mor Rondo J. Roberts, a licensed independent social worker and therapist.
