When Sen. Kamala Harris threw her hat in the ring as a Democratic presidential candidate, one of the many questions asked was, “Is she Black enough?” When she accepted the nomination to be Joe Biden’s running mate, the question was asked again. “Is she Black enough?” Joining Danita to discuss the question “What is Black enough?” are Jharie Parker, a licensed professional counselor at Cultivate Counseling Services, and Stephanie Brown James, co-founder and senior advisor of The Collective, which is dedicated to recruiting, training, funding and supporting Black candidates to run for office across the country.
